My primary literary work right now is Salve Regina , a novel (which, truth be told, is quickly acquiring Life’s Work proportions in my mind). You can check out an excerpt of Salve here–and please, tell me what you think in the comments! I’d love to hear your opinion (just, please, keep in mind my fragile, fragile psyche).
I am also currently in the brainstorming phases of what I hope will become major projects in the coming months and years:
- A book series starring Beverly Orchid, a stay-at-home mom with not-quite-stay-at-home tendencies;
- A post-apocalyptic graphic novel tentatively titled Gone; and
- A children’s book series (meant mostly for consumption by my gorgeous daughter, Zoe–but if any other kiddos want to give them a whirl, why not?) about the adventures and misadventures of a black bean named, oh-so-appropriately, Bean.
Oh, and also:
- A parenting-with-a-potty-mouth blog, MommaDearest.com (launched mid-February 2012!).
In addition to these projects, I also write pieces for literary contests and competitions. You can see which contests I am currently entering here. Stay on me! I need you guys to keep me accountable.
I would also love to squeeze in an improvessaytion or two in there. Want to help me out? Check out what you need to do to get me to do stuff right here.
